Here's an interesting side-effect of working from home in Brooklyn on the third floor of a building: People keep ringing my doorbell accidentally. It has happened three times today.

It's not that complicated—there are three doorbells, each labeled with a number from one to three. And yet, three times today, someone has rung my bell (3!) instead of the right one (1!). Each time, I poke my head out the window and yell, "Hello?" And they look up and go, "Oh, sorry, I meant to get the first floor!"

I think it might be time to make a very clear chart above the doorbells. You know, one that says something like, "If you want apartment one, ring the bell that says 1."
